Thank you Lalitha, Meera, Saroj and Vijaya for your very interesting  and fun presentation of Indian culture, musical instruments and dance.  We were also treated to a taste of Indian street food, Bhel Purl and Marsala Chai tea.  Thank you also to Joann, who showed us an intriguing Norwegian short film and to Robin for putting the whole event together!

A few ladies gathered at Françoise's for a French Cooking Class: Chicken basquaise with rice and chocolate mousse ! Everyone helped with the preparation, talked a lot, Iko cleaned all pots afterwards - a fun lunch.

Thank you Françoise for your hospitality.

We had a perfect day and position for watching the first runners coming in for the home stretch after Heartbreak Hill, followed by lunch and our book discussion of Norwegian by Night by Derek Miller at Evelyne's.  Our congratulations to all the inspirational participants of the 2016 Boston Marathon!

Again, our thanks to Debra for setting up the visit to the Historic Guild of Boston Artists.  Jean Lightman, the first woman President of the Guild, gave a very interesting talk about the history of the Guild, founded in 1914,  and provided insight into the Boston school of traditional painting.

Our thanks and appreciation to Debra for organizing the wonderful lunch at The Dosa Factory restaurant on Newbury Street.  We all enjoyed the filled crispy lentil crepes that are typical Indian street food.
