Please join Elsa to learn about Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Johnson Sirleaf was born in Monrovia, Liberia in 1938. She spent many years in Government positions before becoming Africa's first democratically elected president in 2006. She worked hard to improve women's lives and was one of three joint winners of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. Elsa will read a study paper she presented for a women's group.
