 Please join Francoise for a French cooking class. We  will make green apple and parsnip soup and almond  tuiles. (If  you would prefer to just watch and learn how  to make  these, you are welcome to join us.)



Ingredients for the green apple and parsnip soup :

  • 1 yellow onion 
  • 1/2 garlic clove
  • 2 lbs parsnip
  • 2 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 1 leek
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 1 TBSP of paprika
  • 1 vegetable bouillon
  • Salt, pepper, water

Equipment:

  • 2 pans
  • Measuring cups
  • Immersion blender


  Ingredients for the almond tuiles:

 1/2 cup of slivered almonds 

  2 egg whites

  1/2 cup of sugar

  1/2 cup of flour

  3 TBSP of butter

Equipment:

  • Rolling pin
  • Bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone non-stick baking mat
  • Spoons
