Current vegans and those interested in incorporating some vegan eating are welcome. There are many reasons to support veganism, from personal health to animal welfare to the environment to social justice. All are wonderful reasons! Veganism is the best multi-tasker!
The discussion will take its course from what the attendees would like to discuss. We can discuss nutrition, veganizing favorite recipes, pantry basics, books and websites, kitchen appliances, or networking groups.
If you'd like to watch a video beforehand regarding health, try Forks Over Knives, available on Netflix. Regarding the environment, try Cowspiracy, available on Netflix. Animal welfare, try Earthlings, available on Vimeo. This may add some interest and trigger some questions for our discussion. Afterwards, Deb will be able to provide a resource list.
