What makes our club unique is our diversity and rich background of cultures, our shared values and strong bonds of friendship as women and citizens of the world, learning from each other about food, culture, travel and history.
As we kick off this new year for the IWCB, I’d like to invite you to think about the Fall Festivals that are special to your country of origin, a festival in a country you lived in or even a country you are curious to learn more about and bring a special dish and a story about the food and festival to share!
Fall/Autumn is a season for harvest, for unique festivals around the world: Guy Fawkes Day in England, Diwali in India, Thanksgiving in the US & Canada, Moon Festival in China, Oktoberfest in Germany and many more.
We will celebrate by gathering for a Welcome Back Friendsgiving International Potluck luncheon at Ruxie D’s beautiful home in Lincoln.
Commuter Rail: MBTA Commuter Rail Fitchburg Line stopping at Lincoln Station on Lincoln Road at 10:34 (leaving North Station at 10 am). If you are planning to arrive by commuter rail, be sure to indicate this as you register. Someone will pick you up at the Lincoln Station.
Potluck: Please register asap and mention whether you will bring a sweet or savory dish.
RSVP: As a courtesy to our host Ruxi, please register early if possible by Friday, November 2. (The registration closing date is Monday, November 5)
